14 Wonderful Island Resorts in the Maldives

Maldives is very famous for its natural beauty which includes the blue ocean and white beaches, accompanied by clean air and pleasant temperatures. Due to its extraordinary underwater scenery and clean water, Maldives is ranked among the best recreational diving destinations of the world. The west side of the island obviously has the afternoon sun and the sunset but the east side has the snorkeling just off the beach. And this is an excellent island for snorkeling. The coral is abundant a good seven metres (23 ft) before reaching the drop-off. Turtles, black-tip reefsharks, morays and schools of fish are abundant; mantas are occasionally seen. [link, map]

This five star resort called Paradise Island has the local name Lankanfinolhu. Paradise Island, opened in 1994 is located in North Male' Atoll, which is 9.6km (6 mi) from the Airport. This island is 1km (0.6 mi) long and 230 meters (750 ft) wide and has beach all around with an excellent marine life around.

  1. I've been to Maldives and it was amazing, it's almost close to Paradise. We stayed at Centara Grand Island and though it was a bit pricey, the luxurious experience is so great making it totally worth it.

  2. Wow, it is indeed a paradise. The sand is so white and the ocean is crystal blue, such a breathtaking sight. Maybe in the future, I can go travel there too.
